"Life's too short" still retains vintage Melys bittersweet melodies, but is a departure from the Snowdonia bands earlier material, as Melys have, in their own words, burned all their sequencers and recorded the album using "Proper Instruments" The band have taken all year recording the album, only taking time out to appear at the famous "South by South-West" festival in Texas, a Maida Vale Peel session and a performance at Radio One's John Peel "Keeping it Peel" tribute show (Who they recorded 11 sessions for) "Life's too short" was recorded in a small shed disguised as the bands recording studio in Betws-y-Coed with legendary Welsh producer, Geraint Jones. (A fantastic producer with an absurd habit of letting live chickens roam freely through the studio during a "Take" to gain the perfect "Calm, Country ambience") Recording was therefore a little "Messy". Enjoy.
London, Water Rats - March 3rd
